Bazetta Christian Church is a place that exists for people who believe there’s more to life when we are Christ’s love in the world. Prayer Shelter
In 2021, several men of Bazetta Christian Church built a rustic, 3 sided structure to serve as the manager location for their community outreach drive-thru nativity. The annual nativity is held every December for 1 night. During the remaining 364 days, the shelter, adjacent to the church parking lot, sat empty and unused.
That is, until 2 members of the congregation sought to find a new purpose for the space. Not long after, a new vision formed – to use the open-air space to create a peaceful and welcoming environment for anyone in need of a quiet place for solitude, quiet contemplation, spiritual reflection, and prayer.
The space, now known as the Prayer Shelter (when not used for the nativity), is open 24 hours a day, is handicapped accessible, and open to everyone.
